The Role – IT Technician
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented
IT Technician to join our growing team in Malta.
The IT Technician’s primary mission will be to manage the full IT onboarding process for new employees and respond to day-to-day IT requests from all collaborators across the Group.
You will work closely with our external service providers to ensure smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Onboarding & Offboarding (Core Mission)
- Prepare and configure IT equipment (laptops, screens, peripherals).
- Create and manage user accounts on all company systems (Active Directory, mailboxes, internal applications, SaaS tools, etc.).
- Assign software licences based on role and department.
- Ensure new hires have a fully functional IT setup on their first day.
- Perform secure and compliant offboarding (account deactivation, equipment return, access revocation).
Daily Support & Ticket Management
- Provide first-level and second-level IT support to all employees.
- Solve incidents related to hardware, software, network access, and peripherals.
- Escalate issues to external service providers when needed.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and follow up with users until resolution.
IT Equipment Management
- Maintain the inventory of the Group’s IT assets.
- Prepare, update, and troubleshoot laptops, mobile phones, headsets, printers, etc.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of IT materials.
Systems & Tools Administration
- Support the administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 mailboxes, Teams and SharePoint spaces.
- Collaborate on the setup and maintenance of backup systems.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of company applications.
Security & Compliance Support
- Apply IT security guidelines and best practices (password policies, MFA, access management).
- Contribute to RGPD and Part-IS compliance actions.
- Support regular audits and reviews of user access and permissions.
- Degree in Computer Science or proven equivalent experience in an IT department.
- Strong technical expertise in Active Directory (local) and Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive).
- Comfortable working in Windows and Apple environments.
- Ability to manage IT onboardings and provide daily support to users.
- Rigorous, autonomous, versatile, and able to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Adaptable, flexible, and service-oriented.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- A good level of French is considered a strong plus.
