The following vacancy has arisen within the Aerodrome Safety & Compliance Department:
Main Responsibilities
- Advise senior management on aerodrome safety matters
- Conduct airside inspections, identify deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions
- Monitor safety reports to ensure timely resolution of hazards
- Share safety lessons and best practices with stakeholders
- Implement and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) and Compliance Management System (CMS) within MIA's operations
- Ensure compliance with certification terms as aerodrome operator and apron management service provider
- Report to senior management on SMS performance, compliance status, and improvement areas
- Maintain policies and procedures in line with EASA requirements
- Ensure all management system documentation is current and compliant with regulations
- Liaise with Transport Malta - Civil Aviation Directorate (TM-CAD) and other stakeholders on safety and compliance matters
- Promote a positive company image and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Authority Act and related legislation
- Perform any other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Aviation Management, Safety, Engineering, or related field, would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in operations or safety
- Strong knowledge of EASA regulations
- Experience managing Safety and Compliance Management Systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence
