WHAT you do
As a Visual Merchandiser, you create an inspiring and consistent customer experience by implementing visual standards and ensuring commercial excellence. You execute visual, commercial, and styling curation aligned with brand guidelines, leveraging trend and competitor insights to coach and develop the store team.
Customer, Sales & Profit
- Deliver a strong OMNI customer experience through consistent visual and commercial execution
- Represent H&M positively in all customer interactions
- Plan and organise workload in line with store activation plans, adapting to business needs
- Launch and maintain Global Activations and Sales activities on time
- Ensure garment care, stock levels, and provide allocation feedback
- Analyse sales reports to identify and act on visual and commercial opportunities
- Drive customer satisfaction and sales through effective actions in collaboration with Store Management
- Follow all routines, OMNI services best practices, and legal requirements
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Stay updated on fashion trends, competitors, and customer preferences
- Use trend insights to inform styling, product presentation, and customer experience
Team & Development
- Inspire, educate, and coach the store team on trends, visual standards, and commercial strategies
- Lead visual and commercial upskilling, onboarding, and talent development
- Promote best practices and daily routines to maintain standards and customer engagement
- Support area teams on expansion projects when needed
Visual & Commercial Execution
- Execute the visual, commercial, and styling curation for the store based on commercial calendar, allocation, store activation plan and fashion stories according visual and commercial guidelines.
- Carry out sample picking best practice routines, including stockroom garment quantities, accessories, and shoes, ensuring clear fashion stories are created based on inspiration from the visual and commercial guidelines.
- Execute window and styling setups according to visual & commercial guidelines to create an inspirational and commercially driven customer experience.
- Secure a good customer flow by maintaining commercial layout and fixtures to highlight key fashion and fashion stories.
- Ensure a strong balance and the maintenance of price signs in windows and throughout the store, following guidelines in line with Global strategy and Sales Market requirements.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to ensure all lighting is functioning properly, designed to highlight products and display forms in windows and across the store.
- Maintain and care for all display forms and interior material (fixtures & fittings) with a focus on sustainability.
- In collaboration with Area Visual Manager, ensure your store navigation is maintained and updated in line with the latest guidelines and store layout.
- Ensure your store has sufficient quantities of sale and other activity materials, including POS in accordance with local routines.
- Keep both the sales floor and back of house clean, organised, and safe, adhering to local security guidelines.
