WHAT YOU DO
As a Store Manager at H&M, you’ll lead the full store team to deliver a seamless, on-brand customer experience across all touchpoints. You’re responsible for creating an inclusive culture, maintaining high visual and commercial standards, and driving results through clear planning, analysis, and people development.
You’ll stay on top of fashion trends, know your local market, and keep an eye on the competition—translating all that insight into a store that’s welcoming, inspiring, and high-performing.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer, Sales & Profit
- Own the total omnichannel customer experience in your store
- Lead sales planning, budget tracking, and performance analysis
- Ensure excellent service, storytelling, and product knowledge from your team
- Promote customer loyalty and sustainability initiatives
- Set and manage schedules to align with goals and commercial activities
- Maintain fitting room, checkout, and back-of-house routines
- Stay commercially aware and act on local opportunities and competitor insights
- Oversee store maintenance and admin routines effectively
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Keep up with the latest fashion trends and customer preferences
- Empower your team to share styling, product, and brand knowledge
- Understand your local area and customer profile inside out
Team & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development
- Inspire and engage your team through daily communication and strong leadership
- Collaborate with the Area and Visual teams
- Ensure smooth store operations by following all policies, legal, and safety procedures
- Embrace ongoing learning through onboarding and training opportunities
Visual & Operational Excellence
- Deliver a strong visual and commercial product presentation
- Ensure proper stock levels and in-store tech usage (Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.)
- Own the garment lifecycle from delivery to display
- Maintain signage and price perception in line with the strategy
- Keep back-of-house areas safe, tidy, and informative
